Kathak

Kathak (online)

Developed from the timeless story-telling traditions of the North, Kathak traces its roots back to temples of India, where travelling bards recount spiritual and mythical stories through dance, music and poetry. Over time, the form evolved especially under the Mughal rule, to what we see today, with a unique and beautiful blend of Indian and Persian influence.
